Judgment Day 2011 came and went, and so did the Saturday, May 21, 2011 Doomsday Powerball drawing. The Powerball winning numbers for last night's drawing are, 2, 8, 40, 49, 50, the Power Ball is 36, and the PowerPlay is X 3. Shockingly, there were no Powerball jackpot winners in Saturday's lottery drawing, not even one $1,000,000 PowerPlay winner.

The only things that could qualify as earth-shattering occurrences on Judgment Day May 21st, 2011, were Harold Camping's Family Radio end of the world predictions of the Iceland Volcano, and the New Zealand earthquake that, and the fact that no one won the huge $120,000,000 Powerball jackpot yesterday.
Not the End of the World
Don't despair though. It's not the end of the world in Lottery News. Since no one won the jackpot, matching all six Powerball winning numbers in the next Powerball drawing, will reward some lucky lottery winner with an estimated grand prize of $144,000,000 annuity, or $74,700,000 cash-value lump-sum. Of course, that's before state and federal taxes are taken out by none other than Uncle Sam himself.
Powerball Winners May 21, 2011
Although there was no Powerball jackpot to be had, and not even one $1,000,000 PowerPlay winner last night, there were a number of players holding smaller tier winning lottery tickets ranging from $3 to $10,000.
There were six Match 5 + 0 winners from Arkansas, Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee that matched all five white Powerball winning numbers, but not the Power Ball for $200,000 each. That's a pretty amazing prize in and of itself.
However, if those players had spent an extra $1 on the PowerPlay option, their prize winnings would have instantly increased to $1,000,000. Oh well, next time they'll think twice about plunking that extra dollar down on the counter!
There were also thirty-six Match 4 + Powerball winners for $10,000 each. Of those winners, six of them DID indeed buy PowerPlay tickets which automatically multiplied their lottery winnings by the PowerPlay number of 3, and made these players $30,000 richer!
Just under 1,000,000 (951,776 to be exact) winners also won smaller tier Powerball prizes ranging from $3 to $100.
When is the Next Powerball Drawing?
Now that Doomsday 2011 is over, you should be feeling lucky again. Lucky enough to match all six Powerball winning numbers for $144,000,000?
The next Powerball drawing is Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 10:59pm ET.
