The verdict is in for the Casey Anthony trial. The jury found her not guilty of murdering her daughter Caylee on June 16, 2008. However, the jury did find that she was guilty of providing false information to a law enforcement officer.
What happened to Caylee Anthony then? Was it really how the defense claimed? Did Caylee drown accidentally? It is possible that people will never fully know what happened to this poor 2-year-old little girl.
Are you surprised by the verdict? It seemed that most people believed that Casey Anthony did have a hand in killing Caylee Anthony, but the jury was not convinced by the prosecution. Do you agree with their verdict?
As for the lying charges, why did she lie? The jury obviously did not have to explain that, but there is a reason somewhere about why Casey Anthony lied to law enforcement. Each of the four counts she was convicted of could carry as much as four years of jail time, but many believe she could walk out a free woman later this week.
After the verdict was read, Casey Anthony wept at being found not guilty. The judge found her not guilty as well. How did she make it through all these terrible allegations and the horrible trial? It is just tragic all around. This verdict is a big shock for most people. While she was found guilty of lying, the fact that she was not found guilty of murdering Caylee has surprised almost everybody. The sentencing is set for Thursday at 9 a.m.

She was found guilty of lying (covering up the crime), but she was found NOT guilty of what she covered up.
I wonder if her friends were on the jury.
