Bishop Eddie Long settled his sex scandal out of court for an undisclosed amount of money to the four young men who accused him of using them for his own sexual needs when they were teenagers. While Eddie Long might believe the sex scandal faded with time, it looks like this is not the case, as a news team uncovers another accuser today.
This is the fifth young man to accuse the head of the New Birth Missionary Church of sexual abuse. Centino Kemp, who has Long's name tattooed on his wrist, never filed a lawsuit and has kept his name a secret from the public, until today.
While Centino did not file a lawsuit, he did take part in the settlement talks with Bishop Eddie Long and the other accusers. The 22-year-old aspiring singer met Long years ago, and when he recently found out about the other accusers in settlement talks, he came forward. Fox News Atlanta has learned that Centino played a major role in the mediation for this settlement.
While it is not known what this young man contributed for information in these talks or if any money transpired from Long's settlement to Centino, today he is spending many hours recording rap songs that cost $100 an hour in studio time. When the Fox News team asked him about Eddie Long, he literally sprinted to his waiting stretch limo, which whisked him away.
Centino first thought the news team, who met him outside the recording studio, had his music in mind; he was willing to talk about that. As soon as a Bishop Eddie Long question came up, he immediately sprinted away from the interviewer without saying another word.
While many thought that Bishop Eddie Long got away with these allegations by just paying off his accusers, things have a way of catching up with you in the end. For now, though, it seems like Long suffered no consequences for these alleged actions, which most people would fight in court if they were not true, instead of paying off the accusers to make it all go away.
The church still kept Long in his place, he still lives in a million dollar mansion and drives not one, but two Bentley automobiles. Life has not changed a bit for this man, while life for these young men will probably never be the same from this alleged betrayal of someone they trusted.
