A Grand Canyon crash left two men dead. The plane they were flying in has crashed in the North Rim on Friday night. The men were flying from Rock Hill Airport-Bryant Field in South Carolina to Henderson, Nevada, but they never arrived.
When the men flying the single-engine Cirrus SR20 did not land, their families contact authorities. Unfortunately, they had crashed into the Grand Canyon. The wreckage, which was still on fire, was spotted around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
So far, authorities do not know what caused the Grand Canyon crash, and they have not released the names of the two victims. The do not believe that anybody else was on the plane, so there were no survivors.
What a tragic situation especially for the family and friends who were waiting on the plane to land. Hopefully authorities will figure out what happened soon so that these men's family and friends have some answers about why the plane went down.
