The NYPD is getting out of control with their use of violence against the Occupy Wall Street protesters. The latest update in this increasingly global revolution proves that it's making an impact; police attacks and mass arrests are proof of this.
This source shows a police officer with the NYPD punching a protestor after being shot a dirty look. If this is all it takes for a police officer to physically assault someone, then there is a problem here, folks. The video also shows police running over peaceful protesters with motorbikes. In fact, watch the video below if you don't want to click off of the story:
So this is where the nation stands, and the world. Several arrests have been made, but there is plenty of photographic and video evidence of the police brutality dealt by officers of the New York City Police Department. The NYPD needs to be cleaned up; they all need to be fired. It's obvious that the "boys in blue" are being paid by the very banks that are being protested. This is an outrage that American citizens who are given the constitutional right to gather and protest are being beaten in the streets like this is some fascist nation.
"Don't give up and don't go home. Persevere. We are the 99%."
I have read about JPMorgan also, and wonder how many other banks have done the same. If they think thier money is going to buy them out of this one this time, I do believe they are wrong! The movement has grown beyond imagination, and is now global. This uprising, was bound to happen, and the 1 percenters brought in on. The 99 percenters have stood up, and they are many!
I just watched another video of this incident and you can see the ugly chick, errr I mean dude, slapped the police officer first. Turns out he's HIV positive so I hope the officer is alright.
Those poor police officers. The stench down there must be horrid.
Being slapped doesn't give a cop a right to sock someone like they're in a bar fight. Officers of the law are trained to apprehend people in nonviolent ways; this wasn't apprehension -- this was an all out assault in retaliation.
Conflicting reports are coming out; this story is written off one of the first. To me it still looks like the protester swinging around defensively, and not offensively; but I am not arguing that point. The argument is that the police officer overstepped the line. Period.
Lera, those protestors aren't being paid, but I'm sure you already knew that.
the cop should've known better than to swing at that guy in anger. And because he obviously couldn't control his own emotions, he risked contracting HIV. What a dumbass. It'll be his own fault if he did contract it. The chances are extremely slim, unless they two guys, you know, exchanged bodily fluids.
Unlike the teavangelical Republicans who tote and flaunt their guns at every chance - this movement is relatively peaceful. It's more like MLK's civil rights movement than anything else and will go down in history as such, thanks to video footage.

Are they getting paid enough to stay there and freeze their balls off once it gets cold?

The only gang I see in the video is the NYPD.
They accomplished nothing.
