The murder of Jorelys Rivera has gripped the nation, and while it seems like an open-shut case, speculations are still high. The slain seven-year-old was buried in Puerto Rico today, but this is far from over. Will there be justice for this little girl?
It's being rumored that there could be a potential second suspect in the brutal sexual assault and murder of Jorelys Rivera. The little girl was discovered in a dumpster just days after her disappearance. She was bound and gagged with duct tape and plastic zip ties. She was beaten and stabbed to death after suffering a vile assault. Twenty-year-old Ryan Brunn has been in jail since the day after the gruesome discovery, and there is reportedly enough evidence to indicate that this was a carefully plotted kidnapping and murder. It's speculated that the young man had his eyes on Jorelys for a while before acting on it.
This latest belief that a second person was involved has residents of Canton, GA, on edge, and rightfully so. It seems like law enforcement in the area has been cracking down on sex offenders since the discovery of the little girl's body. They've even arrested four sex offenders in the area just last week for failure to register. So could there be any weight to the rumor of an accomplice? Police haven't denied it or confirmed it, but it's quite rare for violent pedophile to work with a partner or group.
Police decline that there's a second suspect, and say tha they've "got their man." There must be a ton of evidence against this scumbag, so hopefully it sticks and he's put away for good. Little Jorelys Rivera will never grow up because of this guy, according to police. Hopefully the state of GA really does a number on the guy who did this.
