Sky Metalwala Update: Gresham Volunteers Look...

The Christmas season is quickly approaching, but Sky Metalwala is still missing. His father has gained custody of his daughter, but he is still desperately searching for his son, who went missing when he was in the care of Sky's mother, Julia Biryokova. She claims that the child went missing from her car, when she left him in it to go get help at a nearby gas station. When she returned, he was gone and hasn't been seen since.

Now, volunteers in Gresham, Oregon are joining the search for the missing boy. The Gresham volunteers are searching the local area of the town, which is located northeast of the child's hometown of Bellevue. The volunteers handed out flyers in hopes of spreading the word about the missing child, in case someone may have seen something.

There are several search parties out looking for the missing Sky Metalwala, including search parties that are searching alongside freeway routes leading from Seattle to Portland, as well as freeways along the Canadian border. Although many people believe that the child is out there, the father speculates that Julia has given the child to a friend in hopes of keeping him hidden from his father.

Julia has not been as cooperative and has been oddly silent about her missing child. But what she is not showing in terms of compassion and concern, volunteers are; "I do this because I'm a mom. And if it was my kids, I'd hope someone would do the same thing for me. I've done it for a couple other missing kids as well and it's kind of struck a place in my heart I can't get away from now," volunteer Amy Walcott from the Gresham search team explains.
