After the sudden death of Knut the polar bear at the Berlin zoo in March, the world went into mourning. But over the Christmas holiday, a new cub, named Siku, is recapturing hearts as he is being hand-reared by zookeepers in Denmark.
The un"bear"ably adorable polar bear was born in November, but its mother was having trouble feeding him. So handlers took over for her after a few days and now Siku has become an Internet sensation.
With more than a million hits on his YouTube videos and thousands of likes on his Facebook page, Siku has taken over the responsibility of educating the world about climate change which threatens Siku's wilder cousins.
Officials at the Scandinavian Wildlife Park in Kolind, near Copenhagen, have been posting video updates and photos of Siku in the hopes that the grieving over Knut the polar bear can be eased a bit.
And no wonder. With a face like this one, what nature-lover could resist?

Here's the latest video update.
