Mouse bait...a all natural way to get rid of mice

My daughter has found a much better way to get rid of mice instead of mice/rat poison bait. She mixed baking soda, flour and sugar.

This mixture gives the mice gas and they cannot pass it so their insides swell and pop or seem to.

She said she sees the while mixture being tracked and found one tonight all swelled up and blue.

This is much safer than that rat/mouse poison that they market to lay out around the house.

That's good to know. I used pepsi for the same effect on rats. My daughter had a pet rat that liked tea but it eventually died from that.

Yes, but when they go and die inside the walls of the house, it can start to smell! I remember when my old 1908 home had mice, we set up traps and caught 12 of those little buggers within an hour. i bought a cat later that too! ~lol~

I wish people would use snap traps that kill quick and painless 99% of the time instead of using stuff that is going to cause a slow and painful death 100% of the time.

We have the traps, but the mice are smart enough to either evade them or snap them without getting caught. DeCon is what we use, as it will dehydrate them...no smell if they die in your walls.

That's definitely not what to use...it may be safer in one way, but those mice will get in the walls and rot. You'll end up with a terrible smell.

I don't recommend the inadvertent way I've killed mice. I keep the wild bird seed in covered galvanized garbage cans, but on occasion there have been some seeds left in the bottom of an open container I used to carry the seeds to the feeders. Mice get in and apparently can't get out. Usually they're dead by the time I find them; some I've been able to release.

I don't know why I feel bad for the mice when they die. I mean I'll kill them because if we didn't the world would be overrun. But I still feel badly.
