The case regarding missing tot Ayla Reynolds seems to be crawling at a snail's pace, and with every new detail that comes to light the case gets more confusing. That's especially true regarding the insurance policy that Justin DiPietro reportedly sought for his missing daughter.
Could Justin be caught-up in a web of lies? He may be before long according to one writer. The writer believes that weather reports may reveal holes in Justin's story regarding injuries Ayla Reynolds sustained while in his care. He claimed that it was a rainy day when he slipped and fell holding his daughter -- resulting in a broken arm for the child.
The writer points out that if this be the case, then the arm would have had to have been broken sooner than reported. The injury may have occurred closer to the time a life insurance was taken out on the young girl. By this time, the little girl was reportedly in his care for about five days.
With it not being very common for a parent to seek life insurance on a child, it's even stranger that Justin DiPietro did so in this situation. He had Ayla in his care for only five days, and had never played a role in her life beyond seeing her a small handful of times. The amount the insurance policy was for is also disturbing.
So, if Mr. DiPietro turns out being dishonest about when his child broke her arm, what could this mean ultimately about her disappearance? Maine State Police spokesperson Steve McCausland acknowledged that blood was found in the basement of Justin DiPietro, matching Ayla Reynolds. Really, what more could be said about this?
Hopefully the police have found what they are looking for with the recent surveillance footage obtained from Portland, and hopefully they are hot on the trail of whomever is truly responsible for Ayla's disappearance or death.
