Today's Dallas, Texas tornadoes have caused massive damage. The good news is that nobody died as a result of the stunning outbreak. In addition to the damaging tornadoes, giant hail the size of baseballs also caused plenty of destruction in the region punching holes through the roofs of cars.
The incredibly scary thing about these dozen or more Dallas, Texas tornadoes is that they occurred in the afternoon while children were at school and adults were at work. What a terrible feeling it must have been for parents to be away from their children during the emergency!
CBS 11 meteorologist Larry Mowry said, "It's one of the worst tornado outbreaks we've seen in a longtime here in North Texas."
The full extent of the tornado damage will not be fully accessed until tomorrow, and because of the nature of some of the damage, it may take weeks or months for some neighborhoods to recover. Hopefully this is not the beginning of a long and destructive tornado season in the area.
Were you in the Dallas, Texas tornadoes? Where did you take cover? What type of damage do you have in your area?
