$1,000,000 Georgia Powerball Winner
Kevin Christopher of Thomasville, Georgia, was totally shocked when he realized he won the Powerball for $1,000,000. "I was surprised when I saw the numbers. I looked three or four times. I said, 'Wow!' I couldn't believe it. I went to the bathroom and washed my face, but then I couldn't sleep," he told Georgia Lottery officials.
Kevin Christopher matched five out of six Powerball winning numbers, but not the Powerball number for the second-tier prize. Christopher purchased his winning Powerball ticket at L & G Food Mart #0001, 501 N. Madison St. in Thomasville, for the drawing on April 4th.
Had he spent an extra dollar on the Power Play option, Christopher would have had his prize winnings automatically doubled to $2,000,000 instead. Even still, the latest Georgia Powerball winner seems pretty happy with being a millionaire. When asked what he plans to spend his money on, Christopher told Georgia Lottery officials, "I plan on getting a new car and house. Then I'll take the rest and invest." This is one smart lottery winner! What would you spend your money on if you won $1,000,000?
