The April 17th drawing is the fifth since the historic record-breaking March 30th jackpot was split between three lottery winners from Maryland, Illinois, and Kansas. The jackpot was then reset to a piddly $12,000,000 annuity, and has been growing ever since. How many tickets did you buy for Tuesday's drawing?
New Jersey Winners
California lottery winners aren't the only ones rolling in the dough lately! New Jersey lottery winners are also scoring some major mega money as well. Carole Hedinger, Executive Director of the New Jersey Lottery, announced Monday that three high-tier tickets were sold for the Friday the 13th drawing, and were worth $10,000 each.
The lucky tickets were purchased at JB Liquors, 46-48 Ridge Road, North Arlington (Bergen County); Ashland Food Market, 10 Burnt Mill Road, Cherry Hill (Camden County); and Kings Supermarkets #319, 531 Route 22 East, White House Station (Hunterdon County), New Jersey. The lottery winners matched four out of five Mega Millions winning numbers, and the Mega Ball number for the third-tier prizes.
Hedinger said, "For selling these winning (Mega Millions) tickets, they have become three more of the Lottery's 'lucky locations' overnight." When is the Next Mega Millions Drawing?
The next Mega Millions drawing is April 17, 2012 at 11:00pm EDT. Tuesday's estimated jackpot is $53,000,000 annuity, or $38,000,000 cash-value before taxes. Mega Millions winning numbers are drawn Tuesday and Friday evenings at WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia. Tickets are sold in 42 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The final Mega Millions results are usually available within a few hours of the drawing.
