Did anyone win Mega Millions April 17, 2012? You betcha! There were plenty of lottery winners in Tuesday's drawing. The Mega Millions winning numbers were 1, 16, 24, 32, 48, the Mega Ball number was 2, and the Megaplier number was X 4.
Considering there were 605,472 Mega Millions winners last night, not one of them was lucky enough to match all six winning lottery numbers to grab the $53,000,000 jackpot. It's not all bad news, though. The jackpot rolled over and is now worth an estimated $65,000,000!
Mega Millions Lottery Winners April 13, 2012
According to the official Mega Millions website, there were eight (8) Match 5 + 0 winners for $250,000 each. Two (2) Mega Millions winners purchased their winning tickets from the Michigan Lottery and two (2) from the New Jersey Lottery commissions.
The remaining second-tier winning tickets were purchased in Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania. If any of these winners spent an extra dollar on the Megaplier option, they'll have their prize winnings increased to $1,000,000! Can you imagine missing out on an additional $750,000 by just $1 for a Megaplier ticket?
There were also thirty-eight (38) Match 4 + 1 winners for $10,000 each. The lottery winners matched four out of five white Mega Millions winning numbers, and the Mega Ball number for the third-tier prize. Anyone holding Megaplier tickets for this size wager will see their prize winnings instantly multiplied by 4 to $40,000 instead. It really does pay to play the Megaplier!
