Interestingly, the same number of $250,000 winners matched 5 winning lottery numbers on April 20th as there were in the April 17th Mega Millions drawing, and only one less $10,000 winner in Tuesday's drawing as well. The one big difference is this time there are two (2) second-tier California lottery winners in the list, whereas there were no $250,000 CA Mega Millions winners in the last drawing. That's unusual, as the list of California Mega Millions lottery winners is typically at the top!
There were eight (8) Match 5 + 0 Mega Millions winners in the April 20th drawing. Three (3) of those winners bought their lucky tickets from the New York Lottery, and two (2) from the California Lottery. The remaining winning tickets were purchased in the District of Columbia, Georgia, and Kentucky.
There were also thirty-seven (37) Match 4 + 1 winners for $10,000 each. The lottery winners matched four out of five Mega Millions winning numbers, and the Mega Ball number for the third-tier prize. If any of these winners purchased Megaplier tickets, they would see their prize winnings multiplied by 3 to $30,000 instead! Did you win anything in the Mega Millions last night?
When is the Next Mega Millions Drawing?
The next Mega Millions drawing is April 24, 2012 at 11:00pm EDT. Tuesday's estimated jackpot is $76,000,000 annuity, or $55,000,000 cash-value before taxes. Mega Millions winning numbers are drawn Tuesday and Friday evenings at WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia. Tickets are sold in 42 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
