Seventeen-year-old Christin Ross had been missing for a week from the Nevada, Missouri area. Her disappearance sparked fear in her family and other loved ones because she was nine months pregnant at the time. It's now being reported that the missing pregnant teen has been located safely but she is no longer pregnant.
So where's the baby?
Police in Nevada are on the search for the baby believed to have been birthed by missing 17-year-old Christin Ross. The woman is in police custody as the search for the missing baby is continuing. There is no telling where it is, but it's apparent that the child may not be alive. The roommate and relatives of the missing woman claimed to receive text messages from her shortly before she was found. The texts contained hints that the child had not been born alive. Christin was also seeming to be suicidal in her SMS messages.
"The message said 'rest in peace' and then there were suicidal comments," said a police officer of one of the texts.
Hopefully detectives can quickly recover this child and figure out what happened to it. If it was stillborn, then hopefully this young woman can get the emotional help she needs. However, it seems strange that she vanished like this so late in her pregnancy, only to show up randomly without a child. It doesn't seem accidental, or coincidental at all.
