It's perplexing to see that there aren't any new investigative details in the search for 15-year-old cheerleader Sierra LaMar, when the first month of her case seemed to produce tons of online discussion and statements from detectives. Why does it feel like this case is dying back and falling behind in the headlines?
The parents of slain woman Christie Wilson have joined in the search to offer support to the parents of the missing Morgan Hill teen, which must be rehashing painful memories for them. Their help is appreciated as is the help of all of the detectives and volunteers in the community. Nonetheless, it doesn't seem like these searches are getting anyone anywhere. Why?
Perhaps it's time for investigators to reveal some of the evidence they've garnered from the items they tested that belonged to Sierra. The more they let the public know, the more likely it is that they will keep their eyes out in the right direction.
