The Mega Millions winning numbers for April 24, 2012, are 3, 9, 15, 37, 38, the Mega Ball is 39, with a Megaplier number of 4. Unfortunately for all the hopeful lottery winners dreaming of striking it rich, no one won Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot. It wasn't all bad news though. Can you believe it? There were only two (2) Match 5 + 0 winners for $250,000 in Tuesday's drawing! Unlike the last two drawings which both produced eight (8) $250,000 Mega Millions winners, last night's drawing was no doubt a disappointment to many. The winners purchased their tickets from the Texas Lottery and Virginia Lottery commissions for the second-tier prize. If either of the lottery winners spent an extra dollar on the Megaplier option, they'll be instant millionaires. If not, they'll be crying every time they remember they could have been $750,000 richer!
Although there were only two (2) $250,000 winners on April 24th, there were a surprising number of Match 4 + 1 winners. Fifty (50) Mega Millions winners are $10,000 wealthier thanks to matching four white Mega Millions winning numbers, and the Mega Ball number for the third-tier prize. If any of these Mega Millions winners also purchased Megaplier tickets for this size wager, they'll see their prize winnings automatically multiplied by Tuesday's Megaplier number of 4 to $40,000. Can you imagine missing an extra $30,000 because you didn't buy Megaplier tickets?
All together, 596,107 Mega Millions lottery winners will soon be collecting prizes ranging from $2 to $250,000. Are you one of them?
When is the Next Mega Millions Drawing?
The next Mega Millions drawing is April 27, 2012 at 11:00pm EDT. Friday's estimated jackpot is $88,000,000 annuity, or $64,000,000 cash-value before taxes. Mega Millions winning numbers are drawn Tuesday and Friday evenings at WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia. Tickets are sold in 42 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
