The disappearance of Sierra LaMar has attracted the attention of America's Most Wanted, which is going to feature the girl on a segment in May. Media headlines say that "next month the rest of the country will learn about" the missing cheerleader, but it's apparent that many have known about this case since she vanished last month. It's still fortunate that AMW is picking up this case to spread awareness of it.
It's unfortunate that 15-year-old Sierra LaMar is still missing after several weeks of searching and investigating. The Morgan Hill teen hasn't shown any signs of being alive, making this case even more frustrating.
As for the investigation, there doesn't appear to be anything of value to report. Investigators have been dead-silent since the revelation of a hacker posting messages on the girl's Twitter account. Before that they revealed that forensic evidence had been garnered from the items found in the search for her, but they've yet to clarify on these finds.
Will Sierra ever be found or is this case going to crawl the way others of this caliber appear to go? With the unsolved murder of Jessica Funk-Haslam just a couple of hours away, it's easy to consider that a serial predator may be on the prowl in the Bay Area.
