On Monday, a man reported that his weed was stolen. The man reported he had been the victim of a robbery. The man was either smoking or really shaken up when he made the phone call. Who in their right mind reports stolen weed?
According to the Washington Post, "The armed masked men stole cash, laptops, and cell phones," during the home invasion. There probably was a massive amount of weed and a lot of money tied to it for the guy to report it stolen. People usually wouldn't report illegal things missing to the police. For the man to mention his weed was stolen, paints a picture of either boldness or pure stupidity.
The spokesperson, Sgt. Sonya Rorls, says the guy cannot be charged with a crime, because he doesn't have possession of the weed. He probably is in enough trouble anyway. He was robbed by some people he doesn't even know. If he was dealing drugs, he has a lot of explaining to do. This is what happens when a person deals with the wrong people and illegal stuff. Dude, leave the drug game alone because it isn't for you.
Hopefully this isn't the case, but if someone is ever in this situation, it is probably not a good idea to tell the police your weed was stolen.
