Osama bin Laden was a fan of Keith Olbermann, and was fuming when MSNBC canned the controversial commentator, according to writings seized from the terrorist's home.
You apparently have to be a psychopathic mass killer to get the former MSNBC pundit's unique brand of dry humor. Everyone who has worked alongside the ex-sportscaster during his long career has wound up loathing him, but there was one person who appreciated his talents.
Some of the newly-released bin Laden letters are a riot, and the missive regarding the American press will leave you laughing out loud.
MSNBC management discovered in 2010 that Olbermann had made donations to three Democratic politicians, including Gabrielle Giffords, and subsequently fired the host.
Olbermann was taken to the woodshed by Jimmy Kimmel at the White House Correspondent's Dinner this week, and the release of this bin Laden letter will just add to his embarrassment.
Bin Laden turns out to be quite the media critic, and bashed Fox News for being anything but fair and balanced.
"As for the neutrality of CNN in English, it seems to be in cooperation with the government more than the others (except Fox News of course)," bin Laden wrote. "I used to think that MSNBC channel may be good and neutral a bit, but is has lately fired two of the most famous journalists - Keith Olberman and Octavia Nasser the Lebanese."

Aren't you exaggerating quite a lot?
Keith is a world-wide known figure and a I suppose that many, as myself, are not "mass killers". To the contrary: we FIGHT for justice, equal treatment of everyone and even, to take care of the poor and not letting them pass away because of various diseases.
The applause of the people listening to Paul denying care to the poorest, still resound in my head.
Keep taxing middle class but not George neither Mitt!
Jim Kane,
Like Gilbert S's. comment above, I find it most inappropriate for an author to label me and others like me, as a "Psychotic Mass Killer" because I found KO to be interesting on a certain philosophical level. It's quite true that I occasionally enjoyed listening to Olbermann's brand of political humor in what he called "The Worst People In The World " segment of his show. I also enjoyed the few times when he pointedly, but in a courteous manner, offered commentary on current events regardless of whether the person of his commentary was a known Liberal or a conservative. To him it was the issue not the ideology of the person and his/her actions which he was questioning.
On point, although he is/was a known Liberal, I heard KO call out both President Obama, President Bush and Vice President Cheney each on several occasions. He did so respectfully, but without any reservations, which to me was the trait of a good political commentator. Irrigardless, the choices I make as to whom or which political pundit I watch and/or listen to, should not bring into question my personal integrity nor my sanity. Especially from someone who neither personally knows me nor knows of me.
You, as an author, should remember that both conservatives as well as liberal members read posted articles here on Gather News. Although in my opinion it is less than ethical for an author to write an article in an extremely biased manner, it would seem that it has become the norm lately on this website. Further and also in my opinion, it is totally unacceptable for an author to attack and use such degrading insulting language to address those debaters with whom you expect to disagree on the articles issue of debate.
