Natural Balance has just added some of their products to the voluntary recall of pet food that due to the Salmonella scare. The recall encompasses some of the company's dry dog food products because of a chance it's contaminated with Salmonella.
The announcement came from the US Food and Drug Administration today. This newest recall brand is just one of the several pet food products recalled. Not all the Natural Balance pet food products got recalled just the certain products and batches.
The pet food products recalled from Natural Balance are "The Natural Balance Sweet Potato & Venison, Natural Balance Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Dog, Natural Balance Vegetarian Dog, and Natural Balance Sweet Potato & Bison Dog brands have been named in this recall in various sized packages.

This recalled dog food was distributed to many of the US states and in Canada. Fox News report that at least 14 people in nine states fell ill when infected with a rare form of Salmonella which is linked to the dog food products. It's believed the people who feel ill got cross contaminated when handling their pet's food.
