A Texas school misspelled its name. Ironically, the misspelling wasn't caught for nine whole years, and you thought you had spelling issues. What about the students who went to this place of learning? What did they learn during nearly a decade when the name was spelled wrong?
The elementary is located in Fort Worth, Texas, and it is called Sunrise-McMillan Elementary School. Be careful if that is where your kids go. The misspelling happened when the location added McMillan to its name to honor its first teacher Mary McMillan, but it spelled the name "McMillian," and nobody noticed for nine whole years.
Everybody is human, and spelling errors happen. Most of the time people should be forgiving of these types of mistakes especially if it is an obvious typo, but for the school to be named this way for nine years is pretty unbelievable, and in some ways a bit unforgivable too.
Unfortunately, the mistake was printed on everything, and while the building's lettering was changed, the staff continues to find misspellings everywhere. What a mess! So far nobody has owned up to being the person who caused the mistake.

Was she a spelling teacher? Maybe a bitter student grew up to be a signmaker.
And, did SHE notice?
