A man in China has souped up a La-Z-Boy recliner into something that's anything but and went for a spin on the highway. The candid camera style video of him keeping up with traffic is getting a lot of, well, traffic online.
The video, posted to YouTube and making its way around the web, shows a man in dark glasses blithely zooming down the streets of an unidentified Chinese city, sticking mostly to the breakdown lane, and conscientiously checking oncoming traffic at a pedestrian crossing.
To say the man looks relaxed is an understatement. After all, he is riding in a La-Z-Boy recliner, with a cup holder and everything.
Does this mean we'll be seeing more tricked out livingroom furniture cluttering up the already overcrowded highways? What's next? Hoveround commercials touting models all blinged out with rims, monster sub-woofer and jacked up hydraulics?
Plus, it may not cost a dime if Medicaid or insurance covers the expense, right?
How long until Ralph Nader steps in and demands seat belts, at the very least?
Enjoy it while it lasts.
