The May 11, 2012 Mega Millions results are in! Check your tickets and see if you're a lottery winner! Friday's Mega Millions winning numbers are 3, 15, 29, 35, 54, the Mega Ball number is 8, and the Megaplier is 4. Unfortunately, there were no Mega Millions jackpot winners for this drawing. But that's not exactly bad news, because the jackpot rolled over and the next drawing is now worth $25,000,000!
Mega Millions Lottery Winners May 11, 2012
Although there were no grand prize winners last night, there were a number of smaller prizes awarded including five (5) second-tier Mega Millions winners. One (1) ticket was sold by the California Lottery. While the standard payout for this size wager is $250,000, the California Mega Millions winner will receive $201,772, because in California, Mega Millions prize amounts are pari-mutuel, and vary depending on ticket sales and number of winners. Too bad for them!
There were also two (2) $250,000 winning tickets sold by the New Jersey Lottery, and one (1) each from the New York Lottery and Texas Lottery. If you're one of these lucky winners, you could be a millionaire if you spent an extra dollar on a Megaplier ticket!
In addition to the high-tier prizes, there were also twenty-eight (28) $10,000 tickets sold. The lottery winners matched four out of five white Mega Millions winning numbers, and the Mega Ball number for the third-tier prize. These tickets could be worth $40,000 if any of the 28 Mega Millions winners purchased Megaplier tickets for last night's drawing. A total of 562,891 winning lottery tickets were sold in the May 11th Mega Millions drawing.
