Jamie Lynn Grumet Also Breastfeeds Adopted...

Time magazine cover girl Jamie Lynn Grumet has revealed she also breastfeeds her adoptive son, a five-year-old from Ethiopia, and she isn't apologizing for anything.

This woman is clearly a narcissist and is exploiting her children just to promote herself. She's taken what should be a bonding experience between mother and child and exploited it for materialistic reasons. Adoptive breastfeeding isn't as uncommon as some people may believe, but for a five-year-old?

The 27-year-old mother from Los Angeles said she will quit breastfeeding her son Aram, whom she was pictured with on Time, before he turns five. So, why is Grumet still doing it with her adoptive child? Her adoptive son is from Ethiopia and is named Samuel.

The young mother is trying to provoke a reaction with all of this hoopla, and she's been largely successful. But, she appears to be a pretty hostile person, and obviously holds herself in high regard. Grumet is giving breastfeeding a bad name, when the practice is a very important part of child development.

Jamie lynn Grumet is going beyond her call of duty in parenting by breastfeeding her way past toddler age son. Breastfeeding is for infants to ensure nutrient sufficiency, this boy looks healthy and is much to old for breastfeeding. Perhaps this dingbat female derives sexual pleasure from breastfeeding this big boy. She is obviously messed up in the head and needs therapy for her mental illness. She is creating future mental patients in her two sons!

I have a feeling the '70s hippies who would go topless and express free love and hand out pot would still look at this woman and say she's crazy.

Very odd. If the breastfeeding is for health sake, why not just use a breast pump and put the milk in a cup. It doesn't seem right. However, it should be a private matter; it just seems she's using it as a publicity stunt. Did the world really need to know the details of her breastfeeding rituals, and, who cares?

my thoughts are that these "attachment" mothers were children who lacked emotional attachment and they are now therefore turning their children into objects by which to obtain bonds and emotional attachments to. I think in a way it's abuse. So your dad left and your mom raised you and had to work long hours? Now you're going to breastfeed your son until he's in college? Yeah, that's a stable mentality for ya.

Hi, Chelsea...You are the first to bring up the word abuse, and I totally agree with that concept. Although I know, (or at least hope) it does not apply to the mother, but I think there is a thin line between this and another abuse. Typically, if you post this type of thing all over the Internet, it is considered child pornography. I am not trying to be a prude, but at what age can the boy be and this be allowed to be posted as simply a mother's choice for her child? And if she was actually paid by Time Magazine, I believe that profit makes the abuse even more apparent. I think this woman is just desperate for attention, and she is not playing with a full deck...This came to me after reading your comment and the one from Donna...Just my thoughts...

Wow...I think once the child is old enough and is able to get a glass out of the cabinet, open the fridge and get the milk, then pour it into a glass, he/she should probably be beyond breastfeeding.

The photo is staged by Time. The mother said on an interview that the act is not as sexual as Time is portraying. From the boy’s devilish look, to his fatigues, mountain boots, and even the type of chair that reflects an adult seating device. Again folks more propaganda for us poor ignorant fools to buy what they are selling; magazines via SEX.

I am still having trouble determining which is more disturbing. Breastfeeding a five year old, for her to actually stage this photo, or for Time Magazine to cover the story.
