Missing cheerleader Sierra LaMar still hasn't been found, and her mother is facing Mother's Day without her. As a means to apparently heal the wounds left behind in this case, Marlene wrote an open letter to the missing Morgan Hill teen.
It's heartbreaking to imagine being the mother of a missing teen, but it's even worse when Mother's Day passes and your child still hasn't returned. That is the horror being experienced by the mother of Sierra LaMar while she remains missing without a trace.
Marlene referred to Sierra as her "miracle baby," as she was at an age that wasn't quite safe for giving birth. Nonetheless, she raised her daughters and they appear to be just fine. Marlene no doubt did a great job in that department. Still, she's aching not knowing where her 15-year-old daughter is. Was she abducted? Did she run away on her own? It's unlikely that Sierra ran away from home, as it wasn't in her past behavior. She didn't appear to have many problems at home, but she did appear to live an online lifestyle that may have attracted the wrong types of friends.
Hopefully Sierra is alive out there, and she is able to see just how much her mother loves her. Hopefully, if she's away on her own as unlikely as it can be, she comes home. Detectives appear to be working hard on finding her, otherwise.
