Maryland Mega Millions Winners Score $250,000
Can you believe there's still a few unclaimed Mega Millions tickets from March 30, 2012 floating around? A Maryland couple was surprised they had one of them. The 63-year-old Maryland Mega Millions winner was watching a show on television when he heard there were still three unclaimed tickets from the record-breaking drawing.
He figured he better pull his tickets out and check the lottery numbers when he realized one of those tickets was sold at Redner's Warehouse Market, located at 2126 N. Fountain Green Rd. in Bel Air, Maryland. Lo and behold, he matched five out of six Mega Millions winning numbers, but not the Mega Ball number for $250,000!
The gentleman told Maryland Lottery officials, "My wife was there and she said, 'why are you looking at me like that?' I told her, I think we matched five numbers." They were totally shocked with their newfound fortune! When asked what they planned to do with their money, they said, "Needless to say, it was a pleasant surprise." The Maryland Mega Millions winner plans to pay off debt and use some for healthcare costs. "We just feel very blessed," he said.

Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing is at 11:00pm ET. The May 15, 2012 estimated jackpot is for $25,000,000 annuity, or $18,000,000 cash-value before taxes. Mega Millions winning numbers are drawn Tuesday and Friday evenings at WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia. Tickets are sold in 42 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
