Mega Millions Winners May 15, 2012
The May 15th Mega Millions jackpot didn't amount to very much, but at $25,000,000, it's sure to make the California winner happy. If the Mega Millions winner decides to take the cash-value amount, he or she will have to be content with about $18,000,000—less federal taxes of course.
The winning ticket was purchased at Charles Service Center (MOBIL), 10857 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles, California 90025. If you believe you have the winning ticket, California Lottery officials suggest you sign the back immediately, keep it in a safe place, and claim it as soon as possible.
There were also eight (8) Match 5 + 0 winners for $250,000 each. The lottery winners matched five out of six Mega Millions winning numbers, but not the Mega Ball number for the second-tier prize. The winning tickets were sold in Georgia, Louisiana, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Virginia. Megaplier ticket holders for this size wager can expect their prizes to be increased to $1,000,000 for spending an extra dollar.
In addition to the jackpot and second-tier winners, there were also sixty-one (61) Match 4 + 1 winners for $10,000 each. If any of these third-tier winners purchased Megaplier tickets for this draw, they'll see their prize winnings multiplied by 4 to $40,000 instead! Can you imagine missing out on $30,000 because you didn't spend the extra dollar?
When is the Next Mega Millions Drawing?
