UFO Spotters, Local News Band Together in KC (Video)

A group of neighbors in Blue Spring, Missouri, have come together for a nightly UFO spotting session that seems to have united them and even has local media buzzing. Is this a new kind of neighborhood watch?

The town residents, in a suburb of Kansas City, have been seeing strange, hovering, multi-colored orbs in the sky over their town for several weeks.

The lone watcher in the beginning, Robert Kover, was confronted by a neighbor who, at first, was afraid he was spying on women in their homes.

Until she looked up into the skies for herself and noticed the true object of his attention.

"I showed her the star that was in the sky, just to get somebody else's perspective on it, and they said they had never seen anything like it before," said Kover.

Local TV News team KCTV-5 aired the report below and was even able to catch one of the objects on their own camera.

The multi-colored orb UFO looks like it's high in the sky and appears to be spinning. Reporters contacted police, the FAA and even NORAD, but so far, no government agency can explain the phenomenon.

Media attention is growing when it comes to reporting unidentified flying object sightings, no longer with a smirk and a pat on the head.

And now, neighbors are coming together to watch the nightly spectacle overhead. Some have speculated the objects are surveillance drones, deployed to keep an eye on them.

Whatever the explanation, it seems that UFO spotting is becoming a team sport, with local News teams joining in.
