The search for Sierra LaMar is not over now that the body found in Pleasanton has been confirmed as not belonging to the missing Morgan Hill teen. The identity of the woman's body found stuffed in a garbage can in the Californian region is not known at this time, meaning that there is still some family out there in need of closure—a shame on its own unrelated to this tragic case.
With the young teen still missing and her alleged murderer behind bars, the urgency in locating her is stronger than ever. Unfortunately, it's been stated by detectives that Sierra LaMar was abducted and murdered by Antolin Garcia-Torres, which means this is a recovery operation and not the search for a missing person. Divers are scheduled to hit bodies of water in hopes of finding the 15-year old missing cheerleader, and hopefully this brings some closure to the case.
Is Antolin Garcia-Torres a serial predator?
Officials believe they have drawn sturdy connections between the man accused of murdering Sierra. There are currently at least three unsolved attacks on women in Morgan Hill ranging from a couple of years back, and one woman spoke to sources about her experience. Her witness drawing of the man who followed her to her car at the Morgan Hill Safeway resembled Antolin Garcia-Torres heavily.
This is a man who already has a criminal past of assault and unlawful sexual contact with a minor. With police believing he is connected to unsolved attacks, it's very likely that this man has possibly killed before and is a serial predator.
