A series of jaw-dropping tornadic thunderstorms were caught on tape in the last few days which are of the type which inspired the Spielberg "Mothership UFO" legend. Why are these lenticular clouds so awesome? They were filmed in the flatlands of Texas.
That makes them extremely rare, as these types of clouds are usually found in mountainous regions or by high altitude lakes where circular winds are more likely to whip up into a circular shape and produce the kinds of clouds which have spread the idea that they are hiding alien ships.

Of course, that's a theory which has to be proven, if it ever can be. But it's understandable why witnesses of these amazing cloud formations are quick to speculate that a UFO could be hiding inside of them and maybe even producing them.
No matter the explanation, scientific or science fiction, these formations are so scary, they're magnificent. In this series of film clips, the clouds have been caught from different angles and from several locations.
It's a good thing these clouds are rare. They're among the most frightening sights known.
