Lewis Beatty Allegedly Murdered His Wife and Children

Lewis Beatty, a western Pennsylvania man, is behind bars after committing a series of heinous crimes over the weekend. It is allegedly because of him that his 33-year-old estranged wife and his two daughters are dead.

There are not many details in this case, but police do intend on releasing more information today and throughout the week. It's being reported that Lewis Beatty slit the throats of his six-year-old daughter and 11-year-old daughter. He then set his home on fire. He then drove around 10 miles away to murder his estranged wife Christine.

What could drive a man to do this? It doesn't appear that he wasn't allowed to see his children, since they were in his care when the murders occurred. It makes no sense that a man would go to such extremes either way, but more often than not it's because the estranged wife removed the kids from the home and moved on with her life. That doesn't appear to be the case here, but there just aren't enough details on which to speculate.
