Good Samaritan Rescues Toddler Dangling by Head From 4th Story Balcony

A good Samaritan in China is being hailed a hero after he sacrificed his own safety to rescue a toddler who was dangling from a fourth story balcony. The little tyke managed to make it out onto the balcony, over the ledge and slipped through the bars without any family members realizing. Thankfully, his head was too big to squeeze through bars, and he was left hanging four stories in the air.

The child's cries were heard by residents in the building who quickly called emergency services. Quick-thinking onlookers opened up a sheet to act like a net just in case the child fell before he could be rescued. Another man decided not to wait and see what would happen and took matters into his own hands, literally.

A man, who has simply been dubbed the "yellow-shirt man," crawled out his third-story window and walked on a tiny ledge outside his balcony to position himself under the baby. The unidentified hero used one hand to push the child up through the grate, as he gripped the side of the building with his other hand.

The good Samaritan managed to hold the child until rescue workers arrived and pulled the child to safety. Where were the parents during all of this? It is unclear, but reports do indicate the child is doing just fine after the near-death experience. Hopefully the parents are a little more cautious in the future.
