People in Israel, Syria and Iran all witnessed the same spiral UFO careening through the night sky Thursday, prompting a flurry of speculation about its origins.
There are several videos of the strange encounter on the Internet, and the Twitterverse is abuzz with conspiracy theories. Perhaps, it was a meteor or a ship carrying visitors from elsewhere in the universe. What's your opinion?
Nevertheless, the swirling object spotted in the Mideast Thursday is very similar to the effect seen during missile tests. The same type of light was viewed over Norway in 2009, when the Russians were conducting a rocket test.
Was this spiral UFO actually a dry run of a Russian intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM)? The Russians may have been sending a not-so-subtle message to their enemies in the area about their reach and capability. With tensions boiling over between Israel and Iran, maybe Russia wanted to remind them who's the boss in the region.
According to folks on the ground, there was a white light which blew up overhead, leaving a huge cloud which took up half the sky. Click here for captivating homemade videos of the spiral UFO shot from cities throughout the Middle East.
