A roulette wheel in Las Vegas reportedly hit the number 19 an incredible seven times in a row Monday night. As if that wasn't astounding enough, after the streak was broken by the wheel landing on 15, it hit 19 yet again on the very next spin!
Jeff Romano—a professional poker player, of all people—broke the news on the Web. He happened to be passing by the roulette table at the Rio Casino and snapped a photo of the display screen showing the amazing run, then posted it on Twitter.
Just how rare is this? According to the Las Vegas Sun, the odds of this happening are 3 billion to one. The Rio has yet to verify the event... in fact, until the Sun contacted the casino on Tuesday, Caesars Entertainment officials weren't even aware that this had happened.
No doubt they didn't know about it because no one actually bet and won on 19 seven straight times. And no wonder, who would ever think a roulette wheel could keep coming up with the same number like that? Okay, maybe someone who had a special affinity for the number 19 and was very stubborn about sticking with it. Maybe two or three times, fine. But who would be so optimistic as to press their luck seven times? You can be sure that if some lucky soul had kept winning on 19, the casino officials would have known about it!

Ah that's the stuff dreams and miracles are made of - seven times, wow. What's even more amazing are the odds of that happening - so you see everything is possible, if we get lucky and believe in ourselves or the unlikely event of one number coming up 7 times in a row.
