Mickey Shunick vanished over a month ago, last seen riding her bicycle on surveillance footage. That bicycle was discovered partially submerged in the waters of the Whiskey Bay area beneath a busy overpass—which has been the focus of plenty of speculation. Was she hit by a car and disposed of in a hurry? Was she abducted and her bike discarded to throw police off the abductors' trail? Well, police dive teams were spotted on Thursday in the same area as the discovery of her bike, but they will not confirm what they are searching for in the Whiskey Bay area.
Are divers searching for the body of Mickey Shunick or evidence in her disappearance? Reports claim that authorities are refusing to confirm or deny if they were searching for the missing anthropology student. Hopefully more information comes out, but it's unlikely given the amount of silence the police are displaying over the course of this investigation.
It's highly likely that the young woman was murdered given the fact that she has not reached out to friends or family in her absence. She was literally last seen a month ago—and not since. Police are also seeking the mysterious white pickup that was seen in surveillance around the time that Michaela Shunick was last seen. This in and of itself is a disturbing factor in the case of this young woman's disappearance. Where is the white truck and person driving it?
