The death of 25-year-old Ashley Biggs is still very fresh on the minds of Akron residents, including her friends and family, but new updates are flooding in regarding her murder. It's being speculated that this horrible occurrence could be the result of careful planning. The details being released indicate a violent past between the victim and the man charged with her disappearance and death. Thirty-year-old Chad Cobb pleaded guilty to domestic violence in 2005 against the young woman, who took a protective order against him. That's not all!
Sources report that Ashley Biggs won custody of the 6-year-old daughter she shared with the man accused of murdering her. In fact, her girlfriend believes that this may have been the reason for her murder. In fact, Brittany Dunson suspected that the man would end up taking her life someday -- or at least that's what she alluded to in an interview.
"In a way, I knew it. We've been so precautious of it. I knew she's always had that fear it would come to this. I felt a part of me die," she said.
This is truly a tragic case that deserves the attention of the mainstream crime commentators and detectives. It's unfair that a 6-year-old girl is now left without a mother that loved her dearly, and also sad that this young woman's girlfriend is feeling the heartbreak of losing her lover and best friend. Chad Cobb is being held on over a million dollar bond so it doesn't look like he'll be getting out very soon. Hopefully "not very soon," becomes forever.
