The mother of four-year-old Carnel Chamberlain should be absolutely ashamed of herself. She admitted to the FBI that she had witnessed and was aware of the abuse being inflicted on the small child by her 20-year-old boyfriend Anthony Bennett. Originally, this woman was reportedly deserving of sympathy, having trusted a man callous enough to abuse, murder and burn a child's remains. However, those feelings of sympathy have been replaced with rage and disappointment. What kind of mother could ever allow her child to be abused by a mere man that she is only shacking up with and playing house? It's an outrage.
Jaimee Chamberlain told FBI agents that she not only witnessed the results of Anthony Bennett's abuse, she saw him do it too! Over the weeks leading up to the death of four-year-old Carnel Chamberlain, she witnessed bruises, gashes and other injuries on the child's little body. At one point she claimed to have witnessed Bennet picking the child up by his throat and throwing him to the ground before dragging him through the house by his feet. It's apparent that this woman watched an innocent child going through torture and she did nothing to stop it.
Now guess what? That child is dead, a victim of abuse so horrific and a victim of the neglect of his mother who should have been his savior. While Anthony Bennet hasn't been charged with murder, he has been charged and booked on child abuse. Murder charges are probably soon to follow, but this woman should also be charged for her blatant refusal to protect her young, defenseless child. What's infuriating in this is that she not only witnessed it and knew about it, she continued to leave her child alone in this man's care while at work and while gallivanting around. May she never forget what her lack of action caused.

It's no diff than those idiots who say a mother getting drunk and passing out isn't to blame for their child disappearing or drowning, or what-have-you. UH DUH?
thanks for commenting Vic -- glad you and I are on the same page with these cases. It's so horrific what happens in this world.
