The mother of IU student Lauren Spierer addressed the suspect (or suspects) responsible for the petite woman's disappearance again. This time her tone took on a more brusque element. Charlene Spierer has been headstrong since Lauren vanished approximately 13 months ago, and she is showing no signs of relenting in the search for the missing coed.
"Your lack of compassion will be repaid in kind. Justice for Lauren will be served. Only then will you and your family know what a nightmare truly is," said Charlene Spierer.
Lauren Spierer vanished on June 3, 2011 after a night of partying with her friends. Since her strange disappearance, there has been plenty of speculation--especially regarding the last people to be with her before she vanished. There have been inconsistencies in the stories told by Corey Rossman, who claimed to have suffered amnesia the night she vanished--yeah right! Isn't that convenient? He also claimed that the young woman walked home alone, barefooted and drunk. However, surveillance footage of her last known hours show her so drunk that she had to be carried by friends.
This case is disturbing, and has been speculated as connected to several other disappearances in a 700-mile radius, including the disappearance of Katelyn Markham, Holly Bobo and Mickey Shunick.
