28-year-old George Zimmerman was once again in court, with the Judge Kenneth Lester setting his new bond at $1 million dollars. The bail was originally set at $150K but was revoked after Mrs. Zimmerman's wife failed to disclose donations received by the Zimmerman family.
In order to meet the requirement for bail, Zimmerman would have to pay 10 percent, or $100K, to be released. Zimmerman is charged with second degree murder, after killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in what he claims to be an act of self-defense.
The story is reminiscent of the case of Daniel Adkins, who was shot and killed by Cordell Jude in what the shooter also claimed was self-defense. Unfortunately in that case, the family is still painfully awaiting charges to be brought upon Daniel's killer. This case, unfortunately, has received very little media attention.
According to CNN, "Prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda argued before the judge last week that Zimmerman should remain in jail without bail because he was complicit in lying to the court and can't be trusted." George Zimmerman was granted bond, however, and will have to adhere to strict rules, such as a curfew of 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, and will be monitored electronically.
Hopefully the case will be resolved and the full truth about this tragic incident is told, without media bias.

Oh, I think we can Renee. Where is your outrage that you showed when a white Hispanic shot and killed a black person? Where are your posts coming out on the side of the white Hispanic as you did when you took the side of the black person when a black person was killed in the same manner? "On April 3rd, Daniel Adkins, a 29-year-old unarmed Hispanic, was killed by Cordell Jude while he was walking his dog by a Taco Bell in Arizona in "self-defence." Adkins was almost struck while walking by the drive thru. The police report states that "the driver slammed on the brakes, just missing Adkins. The two men exchanged words." Daniel and Cordell had an angry exchange, which led the 22-year-old black man to shoot Adkins, killing him. The driver was with a pregnant woman in the passenger seat. At first, the couple said that Adkins was waving a metal object, such as a pipe. "The shooter told police that Adkins 'air swung' his hands in the direction of the SUV, but acknowledged he never hit him or his vehicle." No weapon was found at the scene, according to the local news. Daniel's parents searched for him that night, but missed the Taco Bell, as reported by CNN. They knew something was wrong when animal control showed up at the door with Daniel's dog, Lady, the morning after Daniel Adkins was killed. Lady stayed by Daniel's side, even after he was killed."
Plus, that wasn't me calling you sarcastic, but another member's comment I C & P'd, who also claims you sided with GZ, as I stated that was my recollection. Both situations are tragic, but the details of both incidents vary greatly, and I sincerely hope for justice in both cases.
I call for justice for Daniel Adkins, as well. The man who killed him, who claimed self defense even though he did not call the police and Adkins did not attack him, only "air swung" his hands after his killer almost struck him with his car, had the mentality of a 12 year old and was only armed with his dog's leash. No media coverage. Why do you think that is, August Lady? No rallys for Daniel Adkins, no arrest, even though this happened on April 3rd.

I have reported on black crime too, does that make me a racist? The thing is, August Lady, that I just don't like injustice, I could care less if the perpetrator or the victim is white or black or Nigerian or Pakistani or from South Thailand or Iraq.
If your goal is to be well-liked by everyone, forget about being a Conservative, get on your hands and knees, and start licking boots. Anything short of that will not pacify. Ever.
