Lynn Jackenheimer may have been strangled by her boyfriend, because the latest update in this case comes with the release of quotes made in a 911 call by his brother. Jake, the brother of Nathaniel Summerfield, called 911 after the man dropped off the missing woman's two children making "incriminating statements." Earlier those statements weren't released, but now they're available and they are distressing, especially if you're among those searching frantically for her.
"My brother was in North Carolina with his ex-girlfriend and he came back and he said he strangled her. He dropped his kid off and left," said Jake Summerfield.
Certainly foul play is being suspected in this case, and something else has been clarified by the 911 call. It seems that Nathaniel Summerfield and Lynn Jackenheimer were no longer together as boyfriend and girlfriend when they went on their so-called vacation to North Carolina. He referred to her as the man's ex-girlfriend.
So, if they were no longer together, why would they go on vacation together? Was it for the children? It's reported that Lynn has a 12-year-old autistic daughter and a young child she shared with Nathaniel Summerfield. It's also being reported that the daughter has "said things" to help in the case, though these things are not being clarified.
If Nathaniel Summerfield really strangled Lynn, did the children witness it, or was this done while they were asleep during their North Carolina vacation? Hopefully more details are released, but one thing is for certain: Something foul must have occurred, and this does not look like it will end well at all.
Regardless of how it turns out, the brother of the man possibly responsible for this potential murder is a hero for doing the right thing. He may not have stopped the crime from occurring, but he did what he could by calling 911 immediately. Blood is not thicker than water, regardless of how the good ol' boy network might have some fooled. Families stick up for one another all the time in these types of situations, but Jake Summerfield showed that he has a big heart and a mind for justice. Good for him!
