Lynn Jackenheimer is most likely dead, since her former boyfriend Nate Summerfield admitted to his brother that he strangled her. What's disturbing about this story is that there is a history of blatant violence and humiliation that may be telling as to what happened to the woman. Summerfield is missing as well as the Ashland, Ohio woman -- so there is just no telling where to start looking. What's evident is that time is not on the sides of those who are searching frantically for their friend and loved one.
In 2009, Nathaniel Summerfield pinned the missing woman to a kitchen table by her throat. He is also reported to have dragged her through their home by her throat. His brutal abuse also involved humiliation, which included locking Lynn Jackenheimer outside of their home while she was unclothed, naked. This is absolutely horrendous and creates a confusing question as to why she'd agree to go on an out-of-state vacation with this idiot.
Yesterday the 911 call placed by Nate's brother was released to the media and public, revealing that he dropped the children off at his parent's home before driving off. He claimed that he strangled the woman -- and he is probably being truthful judging by his past mode of abuse. Lynn, like many battered women, didn't see it coming that the man was probably destined to take her life. When an abuser goes for the throat this indicates an act that communicates the warning, "I can kill you." It's just that simple. Unfortunately, she could be anywhere, as could he. There is 641 miles between Ashland, Ohio and Nags Head, North Carolina. There are also many different routes one could use to reach the two destinations.
The square mileage of this search area is tremendously large and that will make this a time-consuming endeavor if the suspect isn't located before the possible remains of the missing woman. To be clear, it's not confirmed that Lynn Jackenheimer is dead, and until she is found people must hold onto the hope that she may be out there alive somewhere. However, the chances of her being deceased are far higher.

- many of her loved ones will see this as sensationalism and in poor-taste.
I know that is not your intent. Just be careful. She is so important to us.
I have also been contacted by some people who were using very nasty language and abusive attitudes toward me. I do not respond well to that behavior.
Thanks for being polite. No it is not my intent, but it is my intent to show just how volatile this beautiful young woman's situation was. It's important to show the urgency in finding her AND him.
In other circumstances, being controversial is just what the doctor ordered for our society. And you're not going out of your way to do that- but in Ashland there is a strong push to remain hopeful and positive....many are not ready to openly admit (or read) the most probable.
If you avoid stating the truth with no paint or flowers, it will at times be rejected and called out as something disturbing.
