Of her unusual experience, Tye Malley said, "I could hear him say, 'Oh, baby's crowning.' The whole time it was kind of a blur to me. I could see a crowd of people coming around the car, meantime I was still screaming, so people probably weren't sure if I was dying or having a baby."
You think? Having a baby born at 7-Eleven probably isn't high on most moms' lists of places to give birth. The good news is that both mom and baby both survived the unusual ordeal and are doing well. The little boy's nickname is "Big Gulp," which isn't a surprise given that he weighed nearly 10 pounds.
Amazingly, Tye and Chad were just home from having dinner out when she went into very quick labor. They thought they could make it to the hospital, but it was just too far, and eventually Tye pulled into a 7-Eleven parking lot and hooked up with emergency services via 911 and Facebook. It was Tye's third baby, so she seems to have had an idea of what to do too.
Even so, can you imagine having a baby at a gas station? Have you ever heard of somebody's baby coming so quickly? If so, what happened? Check out the video below to hear Tye's birth experience in her own words.
