Lennox Killed But Dog Trainer 'Expert' Is the 'Unstable, Aggressive' One

Lennox the dog was murdered in Belfast, Ireland, yet it wasn't him who was unstable or aggressive. It was the human "witness" who condemned him to death. How ironic is that?

Sweet Len captured the heart of the world over the past two years as he was mercilessly taken from his family, thrown in a pen and not allowed visitors. There he awaited his fate every day and never knew how hard people fought to save him.

The man behind the hate campaign against Len was Peter Tallack, an "expert witness" and dog trainer, who single-handedly threw the dog under the bus by saying he was one of the "most aggressive dogs" he'd ever encountered.

This from a man who doesn't want people even looking at him, talking about him or criticizing him and tried to threaten supporters of the condemned dog into paying him.

Sorry, who's the unstable and aggressive one again? Is the BCC sure they euthanized the right one? Because it sure seems like Mr. Tallack is a lot more "unstable" than the dog he so badly wanted dead.

Mr. Tallack attempted to extort money from the popular and highly respected dog trainer, Victoria Stilwell, by threatening her for speaking out in support of Lennox.

In addition, his credentials don't add up and many professional dog experts have come forward to say that he should never have been the "expert" ont he case.

"Their evaluator, who's evaluation history seems to be summed up by "knows a Pit Bull when he is paid to find one" isn't even a dog show judge," said Steve Crosby, a retired police Lt. in Florida and a certified Behavior Consultant.

He isn't the only one to question the credentials of Mr. Tallack and he shouldn't be the last one to do so, either.

Poor Lennox suffered so much. He was obviously abused and uncared for by the BCC. He very well could have been killed many months prior to his supposed "execution" on July 12, 2012. Who knows what condition he was in when he died, or how fearful he was as the cold-hearted human took out their needle and gave him a lethal dose of chemicals to stop his still beating heart.

Why did the BCC feel the need to act so cruelly to a dog who did nothing to anyone? Don't they have any emotions? Aren't they human?!

As Lennox makes his way across the Rainbow Bridge, just know that this is not the last you'll hear of this case. Someone will lose their job. Someone will be held accountable.

They have to be or everyone will have lost faith in humanity to do the right thing and expose the corrupt.

RIP Sweet boy. You were loved and will forevermore be a catalyst for change.

I have to believe that Lennox had not survived his ordeal and that was why the family were denied the last visit, collar, body or to negotiate any alternative. If this was not the case, then BCC has the most cold-hearted and cruel people working there and to think of such people on this earth is horrid. Where is your heart Mr Tallack?! Your actions have broken the hearts of so many. I will never forget Lennox and I will never forget your actions or get over what you have done.

I also HAVE to know why the judge chose to believe this person??? Why not an independent dog expert??

Strange that he is so adamant that he is sufficiently experienced to be described as a behaviour expert yet he didn't have a clue about amitriptyline.
And rather telling that when he refers to the prosecution team he always says 'we'.
If he was simply giving an unbiased opinion surely he would say 'they'.

Gotten out of control ...when well-mannered service dogs are being destroyed ... just due to their breed and/or measurement FRIGHTENING!

You need to educate yourself and not go by the media hype. Lennox had never hurt anyone and it's idiotic to kill a dog just because of what it might"possibly" do. If a person looks scary should we kill them because of what they might "possibly" do? Why not start doing it to people? This judging on looks and what might "possibly" happen can spiral out of control really fast. Any dog ,or person, could possibly do anything. As for your links, the media thrives on negativity so they only post the negative. Pit bulls have done a lot of good things, even saved lives, but of course the media outlets won't post that. As for killing kids, I have 2 pit bulls and my young grandchildren are around them and love them. So, sir, you need to educate yourself!!

@Graham L: Lennox was NOT a pitbull...but a lab mix. Maybe you should read and comprehend the facts before you start spitting out media fodder as facts. I don't have a pibble....but I am a proud Chow owner. The smallest of dogs are capable of biting, maiming, etc. Educate yourself...

Yes, Lennox was not even a pit bull. A lot of people can't tell the difference between an actual pit bull, like I have, between other types of dogs. That is 1 reason why BSL just doesn't work.

Graham L, you are spouting off things that are not even close to the truth. You are the one who needs to educate yourself! Mary is right...Lennox was NOT a pittie...not even a pittie mix. He was a LAB and BULLDOG mix and he NEVER, EVER bit or attacked anyone...not even another dog! People that tried to save Lennox are not sick...you need to look in the mirror if you want to see sick, because your kind of attitude is the kind of attitude that leads to hundreds of INNOCENT dogs being killed every day! Why don't you try telling the family of Lily, the six-year-old pittie that she is dangerous and should be put down! You wouldn't get very far, because Lily saved her unconscious owner several weeks ago. She pulled her out of the path of an oncoming train and lost one of her own legs in the process but her owner was safe. The engineer is the one who shared this story because he SAW her pulling the woman off the tracks! Why don't you tell the family of Dimond that their pittie is dangerous and should be put down. Diamond saved his family from BURNING to death. There are lots of stories like this, and the pitties, or most dogs that go bad go bad because they have bad owners. Any dog has the potential to do anything, but any HUMAN also has the potential to do things far worse than any dog thought of! You want to put down the human race too? Your logic is ridiculous, because I could sit here and say all stairways should be destroyed because they all have the potential of causing someone to break their neck by using them. You are unbelievable!

Parents were responsible for 61% of child murders under the age of five; filicide (murder of one's own child) is the third leading cause of death amongst American children five to fourteen years old. Parents are much more dangerous to their own children than any dog.

What an absolutely ignorant human being you really are. How can you say that ALL dogs are the same? Its the people who make them like that. Silly little scallies going round thinking they can make themselves look harder, by making a dog vicious! Lennox had done nothing wrong. Not all Pitballs have killed someone, or hurt them but they are having to be put to death. I bet 99% of the people you are going round killing Iraq haven't done anything either. Ignorance surely is bliss when your an absolute moron!

Graham, it is people like you who create knee jerk reactions. Everybody knows what a pit bull is capable of, likewise we all know what a shark can do to you, a large snake, a crocodile, a lion, a human, I could go on. However, we cannot go on a preemptive killing spree. We don't take the danger away by killing all sharks, we make sure we don't swim where they have been spotted. If pit bulls are so unpredictable, the best way to deal with this would be to stop breeding them. Allow the ones we have to live with their responsible owners, but put restriction on them (muzzle in public etc) no cruelty needs to be involved. What we don't need to do is look at a dog that may have similar characteristics and panic or every time a dog bites someone go into a frenzy, this is media hype and it is done to sell the news. The council in the case of Lennox are definitely hiding something and it should be investigated because the family deserve answers. The only wrong doing here was BCC. Lennox suffered cruelty at their hands and those involved need to come clean and step down from their jobs not to be promoted like the dog warden has been. Everyone involved in this needs to be investigated including the Judge because I don't understandable why the Judge need not include an order to allow the family and other dog behaviourists to see Lennox. Animals have no voice and they need sensible logical and compassionate people to speak for them. Graham you should work for BCC I am sure you would be most welcomed by them.

If Mr. Tallack was indeed as anxious as reported on the witness stand because of people looking at him, I would have expected him to be a bit more compassionate as to the anxiety that Lennox was experiencing when he assessed him, which was right after he was taken from his family and put in a stressful environment. At a minimum, in my opinion, he should have refrained from making a comment about the dog's temperament, which he was not qualified to do or even asked to do (Tallack was only asked to assess if Lennox was the "pit bull type").

You are so right Marlen. human beings are the most dangerous, destructive, and deliberately, calculatingly evil species on this planet.

As for the scum who murdered poor Lennox, what's amazing is the fact that these people no doubt consider themselves good Christian people. That's disgusting. And how sad that there are actually people stupid enough to agree with them and approve of what they did.

R.I.P. Lennox. Before you were cruelly separated from your family you were loved. And you are mourned by many who never even met you.

I think it is possible Lennox was killed a while back, thats why no one ever can see him. Something is just to strange about the whole thing the more I think about it.

There is an email going around that lennox was dead months before his final appeal, the shelter called the BBC and was told to cremate the body, get rid of his collar and clean his kennel, supposedly someone went to give him his food, water and meds and found him dead in his cell, this os why he could never be released, many people suspect he was dead also. This would explain why owners were denised access to see him or get his collar back, there really ought to be an investigation, something sounds very wrong, this opoor dog had no chance in hell, what a shame

I am certain Lennox was already dead before the BCC claims they had him murdered. I am equally certain the judge KNEW he was dead when he chose to listen to Mr. Tallack, who is obviously a know nothing twit. The only thing that makes any sense was that Lennox died because of the horrible 'care' he received at the hands of those filthy dog wardens. Just look at the pictures taken of him in captivity: sawdust on the floor; urine and feces strewn all over the cage, something NO dog does unless he's either not being cared for or is being abused in some way; and the last pictures with all that missing hair, injured neck, and sores all over his body. They DELIBERATELY took the worse possible care of him, which is no care at all. As far as I'm concerned they, the BCC, the judges and Peter Tallack are all murderers who will rot in hell.

And that female dog warden saying he was agressive, hello most of us saw the evaluation and photos of this dog kissing her, what a lying piece of crap, there was a dog in New York on death row for 4 years and he got off, and this dog never bit anyone either, false accusations put him in, can't trust your neighbors or unqualified wardens who know nothing about dog behavior.
