The search for Isabel Celis is continuing via volunteer efforts led by the missing child's mother. However, it doesn't seem that the father is at all in the picture any longer. The last known update regarding Sergio Celis is the revelation that CPS barred him from the home and barred him from having contact with his sons. Since then it seems as though public interest in this missing child's case dwindled.
There are no investigative updates in this case, which goes to show that detectives in Tuscon must be at a standstill with leads and evidence. Either that or they're biding their time until the time is right. What's new in the search for Isabel Celis is the relocation of the volunteer search headquarters. Though it doesn't seem as though these searches are proving useful anymore. It's been several weeks since the last update in the case, and the only evidence worth speculating upon is in the 500+ pages of police reports, which can be found here.
What's evident is that Sergio Celis appears to be a downright nefarious character in this case. His 911 call the morning the girl went missing was suspicious to say the least, especially when he giggled about telling his wife to "get her butt home." Perhaps there is a reason for all of this silence with the investigators.
