Brittney Wood is still missing, but her case is proving to be one wrought with misfortune and abuse of a sexual nature. While it's been known that three of her uncles and her own brother have been arrested on charges of rape, incest, and sodomy, the latest update in her case comes with yet again another arrest! Another uncle of this young woman has been arrested on similar charges of rape and incest. This is absolutely horrendous and, again, paints a picture of some downright disgusting backwoods behavior in Baldwin County, Alabama.
Is anyone even interested in what the parents of Brittney Wood (also reported as Brittany Wood) have to say about this case? After damn near most of her family have been arrested for rape, sodomy, and incest, it's hard to consider that these people are upstanding citizens either. Nonetheless, they've spoken out recently regarding the developments of this tragic case.
"In the wake of the recent arrest, our focus is still the same as it's been from the beginning. Our goal is to bring Brittney home," said her family on a Facebook post.
Officials say that the charges laid against several of Brittney's relatives all stem from attacks on several children under the age of 16. They've also clarified that Brittney is not a victim in this particular case. Nonetheless, it seems odd that her disappearance seems to be going hand-in-hand with the multiple arrests and her family's very, very dirty laundry being aired out all over the nation.
This leaves room to speculate on the many possibilities pertaining to Brittney's involvement in this case. Could she had been active in exposing her family for what they undoubtedly are?
