The Dark Night shooting in Aurora, Colorado, has shocked the nation and no doubt the world, as 12 innocent people were killed and 38 others wounded while trying to enjoy a movie.
Shooter James Holmes didn't try to kill himself at the end of his shooting spree, which seemed kind of strange seeing as most cases where a gunman goes on a rampage end in suicide.
Now, roughly twelve hours after the Dark Night shooting took place, there is a photo to go with the image everyone has of the shooter.
But, believe it or not, he looks quite normal. He doesn't look like a tortured soul, or a trench-coat-wearing angry 24-year-old.
With dark hair and an average looking face, James Holmes doesn't look like someone who would go into a movie theater and kill people who are just trying to watch Dark Knight Rises.
So why did he do it? He must have had a motive as the whole scene appears to have been elaborately planned out.
