Twenty-year-old Elia Beltran was allegedly abducted by a single armed captor in the very early morning hours of Tuesday. She was abducted with a female friend, who was later "forced out of" the woman's SUV where she was free to report the crime. This case is immediately surrounded by suspicion considering the captor didn't take both women. Fortunately, the young woman has been located and is safe, so maybe she can help clarify the details as the public knows them.
Sources are reporting that Elia Beltran was able to escape three captors, who were also taken into police custody. So the single captor turned into only one captor, yet they did not want the other female who was abducted with her. Officers involved in this case are alluding to the idea that this was a valid abduction and that Beltran was in actual danger, but they have not clarified on the finer details of this crime. They say that she is "strong" and a "survivor."
However, they are still trying to "uncover" what the young woman went through over the course of the 24 hours that she was missing. Perhaps they can work on uncovering the details on whether or not she knew her attacker. This seems like a targeted attack. It seems as though the attacker knew precisely who he was kidnapping, which would explain why he dumped the friend out of the SUV and kept Elia. That's just an opinionated observation, but it really does seem like it.
