The man accused of abusing Carnel Chamberlain still hasn't been charged in the four-year-old boy's death. This is absolutely infuriating, not to mention confusing, because the boy most certainly met foul play. In fact, his little body was burned and buried beneath the porch of the home Bennett shared with the child's mother. So why hasn't Anthony Bennett been charged with this child's death?
Could a plea deal have something to do with the lack of murder charges? It's reported that he has till just before his trial begins to take a plea deal. What does this plea deal entail? Will Anthony Bennett be able to weasel himself out of the trouble he deserves to be in over this? Do investigators think that someone else killed little Carnel Chamberlain? It's highly unlikely.
A plea deal in a case like this is absolutely unnecessary. What is his leverage? They have the child's body and he's already in jail. The SOB routinely harmed this child, even while the mother watched and did nothing about it. This is nonsense.
